Hanna Galtat is a sculptor based in Helsinki, Finland. She works with sculpture, installations and graphics using three-dimensional techniques. In recent years, she has focused on experimental bronze casting and designed textiles.

Galtat is a visual artist, designer, and art historian by training. Versatility and interest in different techniques can be seen in her work, which deals with perceptions, memory and meanings in time, place, and matter. The ‘spirit of place’, architecture and public art are her special interests.

"My works usually contain a random, or undefined, or interactive element that combines the intentional and the defined. While working, I try to give space to thoughts that arise from the subconscious, as well as to where the process leads the work."
